How to use the alphabetic index and tabular lists effectively will be discussed. Common and important definitions will be highlighted. This session will include a 2010 update of the new E code activity codes. Attendees will be able to confidently assign Place of Occurrence E codes. Summary of Key APC Changes for 2010   This presentation will summarize some of the key changes and challenges associated with the Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System and Ambulatory Payment Classifications as released in the Final Rule in November 2009. These changes will likely include changes to the physician supervision requirements as well as changes to APC reimbursement for payable drugs, the growing impact of quality reporting, outlier policy changes and other modifications to the APC rules.
